Ratanwadi is a village near Bhandardara of the Kalsubai peak in Maharashtra that houses the famous Ratangad fort and the popular Shiva temple called Amruteshwar. It is a famous trekking spot as it is far from the main town and has a rustic charm to it. Ratangad is a 2000 year old fort, captured by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his time.

Situated in Malshej Ghat, the historic fort boasts of the swelling pride of the erstwhile Maratha rulers, if you are an adventure enthusiast, the fort now offers excellent trekking trails leading to the Harishchandragad fort located at an altitude of 4665 feet. The fort originally dates back to the 6th century, the citadel was built during this era and various caves probably have been carved out in the 11th century AD.
